The Omens series is inspired by a book by Dr. C. D. Bijalwan, in a bound copy with no evidence of title, a publisher or a date of publication. This book describes common omens that have their roots in ancient Vedic times, and explains the significance of signs such as the calls of birds and animals, the effects of sneezing, throbbing of limbs, or placementof moles on the body. Other intricate forms of divination are described, with handy tables for antidotes against evile omens and instructions for amulets to ward off ill luck.
